Take a Helicopter Ride with Santa & His Elves This Christmas

Families in the north east will this week have the chance to enjoy an extra-special Christmas treat – a helicopter ride in the company of Santa Claus and his elves.

Taking to the skies with Father Christmas and his merry little helpers will surely be an experience that will stay in the memories of big and little kids alike.

The festive flights will take off from Newcastle International Airport, where – upon arrival – families will get to meet Santa’s elves, with guests receiving a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and children getting a small gift.

After a quick safety briefing, the real fun will start. Santa will usher your family onto a powerful, fast-moving helicopter, which – as if operated by Santa’s very own magic – will soon be climbing to 1000 feet.

You will then be taken for an exhilarating six-mile spin around the skies of the north east. As you swoop and hover over the breath-taking countryside, your pilot will point out the local landmarks below.

Don’t forget to take your camera so you can snap the astounding bird’s eye views of Newcastle and the surrounding landscape.

Your photos will, of course, also be a great souvenir of all the fun your kids and everyone onboard will be having and will look fantastic when shared on social media.

The flights – run by north-east company Northumbria Helicopters – will take place on 15th and 16th December.

Thanks to a new special offer, this magical experience is now available for just £69.00 for one adult and one child. (or £99.00 for a group of three people) This represents an incredible 50% off the usual price.

But you’ll have to book quickly because tickets must be reserved 48 hours in advance.

The experience is suitable for all children of two-years-old and upwards. Free parking is provided at the airport. Spectators can watch from a café and viewing area and are welcome to take photos.
