Based in Gateshead, artist Jane Morgan created JEM illustrations in 2017 to capture the personalities of our nation’s beloved animals in a unique and creative way.
From the tip of her brush, delivered straight to your door, Jane paints everything from horses to hamsters and detailed wildlife studies.
Her beautiful use of watercolour has attracted customers from across the globe, each delivered as a unique piece of art. With prices starting from £60, Jane prides herself on affordability.
Jane said: “I am overwhelmingly thankful that people trust in me to paint their beloved animals. There’s no feeling quite like it; having someone invest in you and trust you to capture their pet’s memory.
“I’ve always loved the process of painting, but my favourite part is hearing how pleased the owners are with my artwork. It fills me with joy.”
Using photos provided by you, Jane begins by carefully outlining the fur, eyes, and nose. From there, she gets to work with splashes of watercolour, later adding minute details like fur.
Since creating JEM Illustrations, Jane has expanded her product range with wrapping paper, greetings cards, and even temporary tattoos.
Jane now holds monthly watercolour classes in Low Fell, Gateshead teaching clients from novice-level to more experienced painters.
