Tails danced joyously at the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter following a generous contribution from Bellway North East.
The esteemed housebuilder gathered an assortment of toys, food, and a £400 cheque, having established a collection point at its regional head office in Gateshead. This compassionate effort was prompted by the shelter’s call for spare toys on their social media platform.
The collected gifts and cheques from the company were handed over to the charity at its base at Benton North Farm in Longbenton.

Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter was founded in 1896 and is the city’s oldest animal welfare charity, successfully rehoming around 1,000 animals each year.
As well as dogs and cats, the charity also cares for other animals and currently has pigs, donkeys and horses all looking for a new home.
