As one of the UK’s largest parenting charities, the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) relies on over 4,500 volunteers each year to support thousands of people as they become parents.

NCT is now appealing for volunteers to support new and expectant parents in it’s continuously growing Newcastle branch.

The charity has recently developed a new team of volunteer community builders and is also offering exciting opportunities for volunteers to come onboard alongside these roles in its mission to build a community for parents in the local area.

NCT Newcastle currently needs volunteers to help set up and run local Bumps and Babies groups, Walk & Talk groups, and also Nearly New Sales events to provide safe, welcoming spaces for parents to meet and come together.

As well as these groups and events, volunteers can also be involved from home by helping out with activities such as social media and volunteer recruitment.

Volunteering with NCT is for everyone, not just parents. Anyone interested in supporting local families can contact NCT’s friendly Volunteering Team by emailing volunteering@nct.org.uk or by visiting: https://www.nct.org.uk/get-involved/volunteering
