National dining and carvery brand Farmhouse Inns has launched a limited-edition Seaside Stack Burger, which will leave both tummies satisfied and hearts warmed with a donation from each dish going to its national charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Available at all Farmhouse Inns nationwide, including the Oak Tree Farm (Sunderland), the Valley Farm (Gateshead), the Wearside Farm (Washington), and the Wheatsheaf (Woolsington), the Seaside Stack Burger includes beer-battered fish, special Seafront Wedges, curry sauce, mushy peas and tartare sauce, all stacked inside a floured bap. And it doesn’t stop there – the burger is also topped with a battered sausage and added battered pickled onions to complete the iconic flavours of the seaside!

As well as tasting great, the tantalizing dish will also do good, as £1 from every burger sold will be donated towards Macmillan’s fundraising efforts, helping to provide physical, financial and emotional support for people living with cancer.

The Seaside Stack Burger is just £10.49 with a £1 donation to Macmillan. For those looking for a lighter snack, the seafront wedges will also be available as a side dish for £3.49, with a 20p donation also going to Macmillan.

Farmhouse Inns is part of Greene King, the country’s leading pub company and brewer, which has been partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support since 2012. Greene King team members and guests have raised over £9 million together for the charity over the last nine years; despite the challenges faced by pubs in 2020, teams and guests stepped up and raised an incredible £1.5m during the year.

Emma Smith, senior marketing manager for Farmhouse Inns, said: “We’re excited to offer our limited-edition Seaside Stack Burger so our customers can enjoy a taste of the coast come rain or shine and know they have supported an important cause.

“We were really keen to show our support for Macmillan, as Covid-19 has had a serious impact on their fundraising and we wanted to offer a chance for our customers to enjoy a dish that puts a smile on their face but goes a long way to support someone in need. We can’t wait for our customers to try our limited-edition dishes whether it’s in our pubs or as a quick and easy takeaway option.”

Rachel Gascoigne, senior partnerships manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “Our partnership with Greene King is so successful and our sincere thanks go to their customers and team members.  We are almost entirely reliant on the generosity of our partners and the public and are grateful to Farmhouse Inns for their kind donation on every Seaside Stack Burger and Seafront Wedges. The funds raised will make a huge difference.”

The Seaside Stack Burger and Seafront Wedges are available for a limited time only across all Farmhouse Inns from Friday 27th August – Sunday 3rd October. A pescatarian option is available for the burger and both dishes can be enjoyed in a pub or through Click and Collect.
