Newcastle barber shop owner and OSMO ambassador Tom Baxter from Tom Baxter Hair has been eagerly awaiting the news that salons can reopen.

With just a few hours left to wait, the 4th July could not come quick enough and Tom will return in full force for a full 24 hours of continuous haircuts by him and his team.

In his newly refurbished salon at 12.01 on Saturday 4th July Tom Baxter Hair will be open for its first official haircut in three months, and from 12.01am to 06.00am, all the money
made from beard and haircuts will be donated to support the NHS, which is facing a backlog of millions of people desperate for the treatment that was denied to them for the last few months as many hospitals stood largely empty.

The first hair cut will be Aaron Charles, who has been growing his hair out throughout lockdown in support of Tom and the International Hair Alliance, a social media group to support hairdressers and barbers during lockdown.

After 06.00am, Tom and his team will continue to cut hair until the very last snip at midnight Saturday.

“Thank you to every single loyal customer that has stuck by us during lockdown. We know it has been hard for some, but we are excited to be back and making people feel good. We hope we can raise lots of money for the NHS to thank them for all they have done”
