This year, we’re inviting members of the public to take on an incredible challenge for an even greater cause by joining Military vs Cancer at the Great North Run.

Military vs Cancer is a UK‑based community driven by one clear mission: to stand shoulder to shoulder with those affected by cancer, ensuring no one faces it alone. We bring together serving personnel, veterans, families, and civilians to raise vital funds, provide practical support, and create lasting networks of care for individuals and families impacted by cancer.

What We Do

We support people affected by cancer through:

  • Community‑led fundraising initiatives

  • Practical and emotional support for individuals and families

  • Awareness campaigns that unite the military and civilian communities

  • Events and challenges that turn collective effort into real‑world impact

Every mile ran, every pound raised, and every voice shared helps strengthen the support we can give to those who need it most.

How We Do It

We believe in the power of teamwork. By bringing together people from all backgrounds and walks of life, we turn challenges like the Great North Run into acts of solidarity. Participants receive ongoing support, encouragement, and the knowledge that their effort directly contributes to helping others through one of life’s toughest battles.

Why the Great North Run?

The Great North Run is more than a race, it’s a celebration of determination, resilience, and community. By running it with Military vs Cancer, you’ll:

  • Be part of a supportive, inclusive team

  • Raise funds that make a tangible difference

  • Run with purpose, pride, and meaning

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or taking on your first half marathon, your participation matters.

If you’re ready to challenge yourself, support an incredible cause, and be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the team.

Sign up today and run with us against cancer.
