The Tree Fella was founded by Simon Forster in 2016, offering tree pruning, tree removal, hedge trimming and arboricultural surveys to customers across South Shields and the wider region. Ten years on, the business has become an Arb Approved Contractor and TrustMark Registered Business, with Simon a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association. The company has built up more than 700 five-star customer reviews, largely through word of mouth and neighbour recommendations, and now serves homeowners and commercial clients across South Shields, Newcastle, North Shields, Northumberland, Sunderland and Gateshead.
“Ten years ago it was just me and a chainsaw, trying to do right by customers one job at a time,” said Simon Forster, Principal Arborist and founder of The Tree Fella. “A decade on, what means the most isn’t how much the business has grown, it’s that we’ve kept the same values we started with.”

The milestone also marks five years’ service for team member Andy Bradley, now the longest-serving member of The Tree Fella team outside of Simon himself, having joined the company’s eight strong workforce partway through its growth.
