A bank raid is about to happen but don’t call 999 as this river bank raid is giving back, not taking away and will enhance Tyne’s appearance.

The riverfront around North Shields will be a lot tidier when businesses from the borough don wellingtons, gloves and litter pickers to help clean up the Fish Quay Sands.

The North Tyneside Business Forum is inviting local businesses to take part in a short litter pick followed by a networking lunch on October 6th from 9.30am to 12.00pm.

Karen Goldfinch Chair of North Tyneside Business Forum said:

The Tyne is a major asset that brings in people to the area to live, work and spend their leisure time. It is one of the cleanest rivers in England and we want to make sure it stays that way. We’re encouraging businesses to come down and join some of our Management Group who have committed to help to pick litter on the day. There will then be an opportunity to have a cup of coffee and network with other businesses that have taken part at a nearby venue.”

Any business that would like to take part can register at www.northtynesidebusinessforum.org.uk

The North Tyneside Business Forum is run by a management group made up of members from various industry sectors in the Borough and gives support in the form of networking, events and signposting for growth and development. Membership is free and open to any business of any size with a trading address within North Tyneside. The Business Forum is supported by, but not run by North Tyneside Council.

The Forum is FREE to join and is for any business with a trading address in North Tyneside.
