Newcastle-based consultancy and training provider, Absolute Quality, has strengthened its leadership and management team with the appointment of Lora Wilson as director.

The company, which specialises in helping businesses drive continual improvement, has enjoyed sustained growth for a number of years, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and Lora’s contribution to this has been reflected with her appointment as director, which will see her head up the continued development and expansion of Absolute Quality’s consultancy and training services.

Since joining the company in 2014, when the team comprised just fellow directors Helen Short and Andrew Willson, Lora has played a key role in supporting the growth of the company and has significantly contributed to its ongoing success. Their ambitious plans to scale up are already coming to fruition with the company reporting their most successful period to date at the end of the 2020 financial year. Revenue has increased, turnover is up 31 percent on last year, gross margin is up, net income has doubled, and net assets are up 64 percent.

Having led on major consultancy and training accounts working with a wide range of clients to manage risks, build resilience, and drive continual improvement to help them grow and thrive, Lora is now planning to drive the continued expansion of the business and grow both its client base and the specialist team.

Commenting on her appointment, Lora said:

“Over the last few years, we have delivered substantial change and growth and, in particular, have seen notable success despite the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am looking forward to building upon these strong foundations as we continue to expand. We will remain focused on our key priorities – rather than simply telling businesses what they should do, we will engage, enable, and empower them to put in place management standards and processes to build on success and help them to prosper.”

Helen Short, founder and managing director at Absolute Quality said: “I’m delighted to see Lora rightly rewarded for her continued dedication and leadership. She really has played a vital role in shaping our strategic path, and this new position will allow her to continue this good work and develop fantastic opportunities for the future growth and success of Absolute Quality.”

“The origins and ethos of Absolute Quality has always been about who we are, our values, and how we work with our clients, and I want to hand these principles, along with my knowledge and experience to the next generation who can continue to build on this adding their skills and energy. Lora’s appointment reflects this, and she will be key to supporting our strategy for growth moving forward.”
