• Tables and chairs sanitised after each seating

• Separate queues for dining in and Click & Collect and delivery

• Single use, FSC certified, 100% biodegradable menus

Speaking about the re-opening of the Gateshead restaurant, Fridays CEO, Robert B. Cook, said: “It feels great to be able to welcome our guests back into our restaurants from Monday 6th July and once again give them that memorable Fridays experience. We are confident that guests will feel safe when they dine in our restaurants thanks to our COVID-19 safety management control measures that will safeguard our teams and our guests.”

Guests will notice a few exciting changes when visiting a Fridays restaurant from 6th July!

Fridays first opened in New York in 1965 with flowing cocktails and charismatic bartenders making every night feel like a Friday. Over 55 years later, it’s making Fridays famous again by going back to its roots and proudly celebrating its unique heritage through the introduction of a new brand.

As part of a phased plan, six specially selected restaurants, dubbed ‘Famous at Fridays’ will be introducing further changes from 6th July. This includes, a simplified and enhanced menu which sees classic dishes return with an investment and upgrade in quality, fresh ingredients and a focus on provenance core to the new menu. There’ll be a re-energised bar with iconic cocktails full of energy & theatre, all of which will be complemented by that iconic Fridays service and generosity of spirit.
