This Friday 24th April, Stockton-on-Tees born musician Christopher Griksaitis releases his first album, The Piano and Me.

The acoustic album features 9 piano songs with vocals, entirely produced by Christopher himself.

The launch concert will be on Facebook on Friday 24th April at 8:30pm.

“The time I spend at the piano is the time my wings are set free. Because when I’m playing the piano is when I get to be me” sings Christopher on the last track of the album. No matter what you are experiencing or how hard life can be, if you can express yourself, you’ll always be in harmony with yourself and the world.

Christopher, 29 years old, has been involved in music his entire life. He started piano lessons when he was 5 with a local Teesside teacher, and later learned the violin and viola before joining the Tees Valley Youth Choir, which sent him on a path to study Vocal and Operatics at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
After graduating with a First-Class Honours degree, he performed in the European Premier of Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame in Berlin, toured 5 continents as a pianist and singer and is now helping his students in Teesside, Birmingham and abroad.

“The Piano and Me is a project I started more than a year ago,” he said, “Music has always been an escape in my life, and I think we all need an escape, now more than ever. The album is a message of hope, love and about being kind to each other.”

After the live launch concert on Facebook on Friday, April 24th, Christopher will continue to do online concerts on his Facebook and Instagram pages every Friday at 7:30pm.

The Piano and Me is available from Friday 24th on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and most digital music stores.
